Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist Opportunity Northeast Florida
NorTek Medical Staffing is working on a confidential Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist opportunity in Northeast Florida, within the greater Jacksonville / St. Augustine region.
This role will support a new adolescent inpatient unit opening at the end of October. The unit is expected to start with a smaller census and cap at approximately 8 adolescent patients by the end of the year, making this a strong opportunity for a C&A psychiatrist who wants inpatient work without immediately stepping into a heavy patient load.
The client can consider either a full-time psychiatrist or a part-time morning schedule, depending on candidate interest and fit.

Position Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric evaluation and treatment for adolescent inpatient patients
- Manage medications and support clinical stabilization
- Participate in treatment planning, admissions, discharges, and clinical reviews
- Collaborate with nursing, therapy, case management, and facility leadership
- Maintain timely documentation and quality standards
- Support the launch and early growth of the adolescent inpatient program
- Provide consistent psychiatric coverage for a small adolescent census
Ideal Candidate
- MD or DO
- Child & Adolescent Psychiatry background required
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry preferred
- Florida license preferred, or willingness/ability to obtain
- Inpatient adolescent psychiatry experience strongly preferred
- Comfortable working with a smaller census and growing program
- Open to full-time or part-time morning coverage
- Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with an interdisciplinary team
