Physician Assistant (PA) - Surgery - Cardiothoracic
Job Details:
Provide locum coverage for cardiothoracic and vascular surgery, with at least 1 to 2 weeks of coverage per month needed through 2027Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with floor call/beeper coverage from 3:00 PM to 7:00 AMSaturday and Sunday require 24-hour on-site support and floor call or OR call coverageInpatient/hospital-based practice setting serving adult and geriatric patient populationsAverage of 20 to 26 patients per day in a Level 2 Trauma designated facilityProvide post-operative care for cardiothoracic and vascular patientsPerform emergency surgery on cardiothoracic and vascular patientsTake consults and referrals from the emergency department, cath lab, and all hospital providersPerform vein harvesting and retrieval of vascular tissues for use as a bypass conduitAssist in surgery, write prescriptions, coordinate care, perform rounding, and interpret and order testsMay be required to supervise or teach other providersEMR documentation completed in EpicMinimum 5 years of experience in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery services requiredBoard certification in vascular surgery requiredActive Ohio license or compact license, active ACLS, and active DEA requiredClean background with no malpractice or license issues required, no exceptionsFacility:
