Opportunity:
Physician Assistant - Cardiothoracic Surgery
Job Details:
- Full-time position working Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 40 hours per week
- 26-week contract duration
- Call rotation of 1 in 4 weekends, Friday at 5:00 PM through Monday at 7:00 AM, with rounding only (no elective cases), typically 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM
- Part-time consideration requires a minimum of 2 weeks per month
- Estimated 20 patients seen per shift depending on volume
- Procedures required include endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH), surgical closure, and vascular cases
- Support staff includes 2 MDs and 3 APPs in CT Surgery, and 2 MDs and 3 APPs in Vascular Surgery
- Minimum 5-6 years of experience in cardiothoracic surgery required
- Demonstrated proficiency in vein harvesting techniques and surgical closure required
- Availability to cover nights and weekends on a rotational basis required
- Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, active PA license, DEA, and Board Certified Physician Assistant
- Licensure candidates will be considered
