Locums - Ogden, Utah Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery Opening
Clinical Role
Provide Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery call coverage for a Level II Trauma Center. The physician must be comfortable independently managing both cardiac and thoracic surgical cases.
Assignment Details
Coverage Dates:
- September 18-25, 2026
- December 28, 2026-January 3, 2027
Schedule:
- 24-hour call coverage
- Call coverage only
- No clinic responsibilities
- Approximately 10-12 patients per week
- 3-5 consults per 7-day period
- Approximately 1-3 surgeries per week
Clinical Responsibilities
- Cardiovascular and thoracic surgery
- Cardiac and thoracic call
- Independent surgical cases
- Inpatient rounding when APP support is unavailable
- Practice performs approximately 80 cardiac cases annually
Support & Practice Setting
- Level II Trauma Center
- APP support Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM when available
- Dedicated vein harvest team
- RN, MA, and additional practice support
- Meditech EMR
Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible - Required
- Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery experience - Required
- Active Utah license in hand at presentation - Required
- Active Utah DEA in hand at presentation - Required
