ATC West Healthcare is seeking a part-time Staff MD in Oncology to provide comprehensive, patient-centered cancer care in a collaborative outpatient setting. This opportunity offers the chance to work alongside a multidisciplinary oncology team, participate in clinical trials and quality initiatives, and serve a rural patient population across Vermont, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts while maintaining strong work-life balance.
Dates / Schedule
- Part-time permanent position
- Approximately 24 hours per week
- Outpatient oncology clinic setting
- Not accepting:
- Locum or locum-to-perm candidates

- Candidates commuting more than 1 hour
- Candidates planning to work another concurrent position
Job Details / Responsibilities
- Diagnose and stage various cancers through:
- Clinical assessments
- Imaging studies
- Laboratory testing
- Develop individualized oncology treatment plans utilizing:
- Chemotherapy
- Radiation therapy
- Immunotherapy
- Targeted therapies
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment protocols as needed
- Manage treatment-related side effects and supportive care needs
- Educate patients and families regarding:
- Diagnoses
- Treatment options
- Expected outcomes
- Provide emotional support and counseling throughout the cancer care journey
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary oncology team members including:
- Surgeons
- Radiologists
- Certified oncology nurses
- Nurse practitioners
- Oncology navigators
- Participate in:
- Clinical trials
- Research initiatives
- Quality improvement projects
- Departmental planning and efficiency initiatives
- Stay current with evidence-based oncology practices and treatment advancements
- Mentor and support healthcare staff in oncology-related practices
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Oncology required
- Active Vermont medical license required prior to start
- Clean malpractice and license history required
- Most recent NPDB Self-Query report within 30 days required at presentation
- Completion of accredited residency training in the United States or Canada required
- Must not have previously applied directly to the position for agency eligibility
