Job Description:
This locum Dentist opportunity offers the chance to provide essential oral healthcare services within a correctional healthcare setting, serving a vulnerable and often underserved patient population that may have limited access to consistent dental care. The provider will deliver comprehensive dental treatment while collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, supervising support staff, and helping ensure continuity of care for patients with complex medical, behavioral health, and social needs. As part of a medium-security correctional environment, success in this role requires strong clinical judgment, professionalism, adaptability, and a commitment to treating every patient with dignity, compassion, and respect. Healthcare services within the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision are designed to provide necessary medical and dental care to incarcerated individuals, emphasizing patient health, safety, and access to treatment. At Amergis, we hold our providers to exceptionally high standards and seek clinicians who are committed to clinical excellence, ethical practice, thorough documentation, and advocacy for disenfranchised populations while maintaining a safe and professional care environment.
