Practice Details- Setting: 4 days outpatient clinic, plus shared call coverage
- Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 8:30 AM 5:00 PM
- Call Schedule: 1:3 rotation
- Evening call every assigned night
- Weekend call: Friday 4:00 PM Monday 7:00 AM
- Patient Population: Adult, Geriatric, OB
Case Mix- Hematology: 60%
- Oncology: 40%
- Internal Medicine: 0%
Practice Support- 3 Physicians (one on maternity leave)
- 2 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
- Radiation Oncologist available during coverage
- Chemotherapy administered by Nurse Oncologist
Patient Volume- Outpatient Clinic: patients per day
- Hospital Call/Rounding: Approximately 1 5 patients per day
Clinical Responsibilities- Outpatient Hematology
- Outpatient Oncology
- Inpatient Hematology
- Inpatient Oncology
- Participate in Tumor Board
- Order laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging
- Prescribe medications
Facility Information- Hospital Trauma Level: Level II
- EMR: Epic
Reimbursement & Coverage- Mileage reimbursement only (provider must be local)
- Medical malpractice coverage provided
Credentialing- Estimated timeframe: TBD
- Expedited credentialing available for qualified candidates
Requirements- Updated CV with no employment gaps greater than 30 days
- Self-Query NPDB report (dated within the same month as submission)
- Board Certified
- Active Connecticut medical license at time of submission (no exceptions)
- Current BLS certification
- Local provider required (only mileage reimbursed)
