JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Board: BE/BC in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • Licenses: Active Arizona medical license and DEA with AZ address
  • DEA / CDS: Active DEA required
  • Certifications: ACLS (AHA) required; ATLS preferred
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year hospitalist experience preferred; new graduates considered with Medical Director approval
  • Other Qualifications: Residency in IM, FM, or HM; clinical activity logs for previous 24 months; CME certificates for previous 2 years; must be comfortable reading own EKGs
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide hospitalist coverage including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Manage an average of 66 patient encounters (including admits) per 24-hour period.
  • Work a 7 on/7 off block schedule with minimum of 4 shifts.
  • Nocturnist duties: manage admissions averaging 7-9 per night.
  • Perform rounding and patient care in a 139-bed acute care facility with open ICU.
