Certified Nursing AssistantDestination Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center is a new location serving the Destin community for skilled nursing needs. We are search for Certified Nursing Assistants to join our team!
Position Overview: Responsible for providing routine daily nursing services to assigned residents in a manner that is caring, compassionate and customer-oriented and in accordance with laws, regulations and facility guidelines. Education & Certification: High school diploma or equivalent; successfully completed a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistance program; must possess a current certification in good standing, or be able to obtain certification within four months of employment, if allowable by the state; must have CPR certification.
Essential Job Duties
- Provides quality nursing care to residents and communicates to each resident and family member to build positive relations.
- Routinely makes rounds and responsively provides proper resident care and service.
- Assesses residents for condition changes and reports to nurse supervisor.
- Answers resident call lights promptly and courteously.
- Delivers meals and performs feeding assistance to residents and provides hydration.
- Performs vital sign monitoring/charting and observes residents for changes in condition or behavior and reports to nursing supervisors.
- Provides assistance to residents for showers or baths.
- Provides assistance with lifting, turning, moving, transporting or transferring residents.
- Monitors incontinent residents to ensure bed linens and clothing are clean and dry.
- Assists residents with toileting and bed pans and collects urine, stool and sputum samples as directed.
