Practice Overview:
- You'll join an employed Emergency Medicine team in a respected community hospital setting (10-bed ED, 15,000 visits/year, 40 patients/day)
- Single-physician coverage model with APP support (about 10 hours of APP coverage daily)
- Broad "bread-and-butter" EM across all ages, with a manageable rural/community case mix
- Optional involvement with teaching through a Family Medicine Residency Program
Schedule:
- 12-hour shifts: 7a-7p and 7p-7a
- Full-time target is 142 shifts/year (about 12 shifts/month)
- Day and night rotations are evenly distributed to keep scheduling fair
- 24-hour physician coverage with consistent APP support to help maintain flow
Compensation & Benefits:
- $426,000 guaranteed base (3-year guarantee) built on a $250/hour structure
- $35,000 upfront bonus plus up to $50,000 engagement bonus
- Up to $100,000 student loan repayment ($25K/year for 4 years) and residency stipend available ($2,000/month)
- $6,000 CME annually + $2,000 for licensure/professional expenses; comprehensive benefits and malpractice with tail included
Candidate Requirements:
- ABEM/AOBEM Board-Certified or Board-Eligible preferred; MD or DO welcome
- Family Medicine physicians with significant Emergency Medicine experience will be considered
- Comfortable treating full-spectrum patients (pediatrics through geriatrics)
- Seeking physicians interested in a longer-term home (3+ years preferred); U.S. citizen or Green Card
