Key Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced clinical assessments, including detailed histories and focused physical examinations, for patients with acute and urgent conditions
- Formulate differential diagnoses and establish working diagnoses using evidence-based clinical reasoning
- Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests such as labs, radiographic imaging, and point-of-care tests
- Provide wound care and perform minor procedures, including suturing, incision and drainage, splinting, and other urgent care interventions
- Prescribe, initiate, and adjust medications in accordance with current guidelines and regulatory requirements
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, including follow-up care and referrals when appropriate
- Deliver clear, empathetic patient and family education on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and self-care instructions
- Document patient encounters accurately in the EHR and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
Qualifications:
- Active, current Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensure in Colorado
- Prior urgent care, emergency, or high-acuity outpatient experience preferred
- Familiarity with occupational health visits, sports injuries, and work-related assessments preferred
- Comfortable managing pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients in an urgent care context
