Position Overview
Seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Urologist for a permanent, hospital-employed role in a community hospital setting. The position includes a mix of outpatient clinic, procedural work, and inpatient consults, with access to block OR time.
Clinical Responsibilities
Evaluate and manage general urologic conditions in the outpatient setting
Perform in-office urologic procedures
Provide inpatient consults and perioperative care
Perform operative urology cases appropriate for a community hospital setting
Collaborate with primary care providers and other specialists
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Schedule & Workload (Community Hospital Average)
Monday Friday schedule
4 5 clinic days per week
Block OR time available
Inpatient consults as needed
Call coverage: 1:3 to 1:4, primarily consult-based
Average clinic volume: patients per day, depending on procedure mix
Compensation & Benefits (Market-Based CT Community Hospital)
Base salary typically $425,000 $550,000, dependent on experience and case mix
Productivity bonus or RVU-based incentive structure

Candidate Requirements
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Completion of an accredited Urology residency
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology
Active Connecticut medical license or ability to obtain
Comfortable practicing across clinic, OR, and inpatient consult settings
Strong procedural and documentation skills
