HIGHLIGHTS
- Outpatient-focused Palliative Medicine practice with opportunity for periods on our inpatient consultation service
- The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated strong emphasis on oncology and cancer-focused palliative care
- Join a collaborative team of 8 Palliative Medicine physicians and 4 APPs
- Teach and mentor two Hospice & Palliative Medicine fellows annually
- No in-house call with a shared remote call rotation
- Practice at the Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Comprehensive Cancer Center, the only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in Western North Carolina
- Collaborate within the renowned J. Paul Sticht Center on Healthy Aging and Alzheimer's Prevention, offering opportunities for academic engagement, research, and interdisciplinary collaboration
- EPIC EMR
- Be part of an integrated nationally recognized organization with physician-led medical group and embedded service line
- Leverage access to DAX Copilot, an AI-powered clinical documentation tool integrated with Epic, streamlining clinical workflows by generating draft patient notes for efficient review, editing, and signature

TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Graduation from an accredited medical school (M.D./D.O.).
- Completion of an accredited residency program and board certified in residency.
- Completion of a Palliative Medicine fellowship at an ACGME-accredited institution.
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Palliative Medicine
- Current or eligible for North Carolina Medical License
- Current DEA and DPS registration for prescription writing
