Join our dedicated team as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist providing essential services at a critical access hospital. In this role, you will be responsible for a range of anesthesia procedures, supporting a diverse inpatient population. The schedule includes standard weekday hours with call responsibilities, offering an engaging and dynamic work environment.

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM; call requirements include evenings and weekends
  • Patient Population: All Ages
  • Location: Ketchikan, AK

Job Responsibilities
  • Administer anesthesia for various surgical procedures including general surgery, endoscopies, joint surgeries, and emergency cesarean sections.
  • Provide anesthesia care for pediatric patients in dental, ENT, and orthopedic surgeries.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including surgeons, obstetricians, and emergency department physicians, to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Fulfill call obligations with flexibility, maintaining readiness to respond to immediate anesthetic needs.
Qualifications
  • Active Alaska state license required.
  • Must have current ACLS certification.
  • Proficiency in EPIC EMR systems.
  • Prior clinical activity within the last 24 months evidenced by case logs.
Working Hours
  • Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
  • Evening and weekend call rotation, currently on a 2 on/2 off basis.
Skills
  • Expertise in anesthesia procedures for a wide range of specialties.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle varying patient caseloads efficiently.
  • Skilled in managing critical care anesthesia scenarios and emergency situations.
