Position OverviewA respected healthcare organization is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) to join its primary care team in Oakhurst/Coarsegold, California. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive preventive, acute, and chronic care services while collaborating with physicians and an interdisciplinary care team to improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic healthcare services.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Document patient encounters, treatment plans, medications, referrals, and orders using SOAP documentation standards.
- Review laboratory results, imaging reports, and specialist recommendations.
- Coordinate referrals and follow-up care for patients.
- Educate patients on preventive health and wellness.
- Follow established clinical protocols and treatment guidelines.
- Participate in care team meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and peer review activities.
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Support efficient clinic operations and patient-centered care delivery.
- Participate in rotating call coverage and telephone triage responsibilities as required.
- Consult with supervising physicians on complex patient cases.
Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Active and unrestricted California Physician Assistant License.
- Current CPR/BLS Certification.
- Strong clinical assessment and patient management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based healthcare environment.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.
