Endocrinologist

Position Overview
A community hospital in Queens is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Endocrinologist to join its team. This permanent, employed position focuses on delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care for individuals with a wide range of endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, and metabolic bone diseases.

Clinical Responsibilities
Patient Care:
Provide comprehensive care for patients with endocrine disorders, including history taking, physical exams, diagnostic evaluation, and individualized treatment planning
Manage patients with diabetes, including lifestyle counseling, medication management, and insulin therapy
Diagnose and treat thyroid disorders (e.g., hypo/hyperthyroidism, nodules)
Evaluate and manage pituitary disorders, including growth hormone deficiency, Cushing's syndrome, and prolactinomas
Diagnose and treat adrenal disorders such as Addison's disease and adrenal insufficiency
Manage metabolic bone diseases, including osteoporosis and osteomalacia
Collaboration & Education:
Work closely with primary care physicians, nurses, dietitians, and other specialists to coordinate care
Educate patients and families about disease processes, treatment options, and self-management strategies
Participate in hospital committees, quality improvement projects, and professional development activities
Administrative:
Qualifications
Education & Training:
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency
Completion of an accredited fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism
Certification & Licensure:
Board certification or eligibility in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism (ABIM or AOBIM)
Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in New York

Compensation & Benefits
Competitive salary: $275,000 - $325,000/year
