What You ll Do
- Provide inpatient OB/GYN services including routine delivery, low-forceps vaginal deliveries, and decision-making for C-sections
- Manage complicated deliveries such as breech, multiple births, and abruptions
- Perform cesarean sections and assist with VBACs
- Repair third and fourth-degree perineal lacerations
- Collaborate with midwives for on-call deliveries and patient care
- Document patient encounters using EPIC EMR system
- Participate in call coverage, ensuring round-the-clock support
What You Need
- Kentucky medical license (or willing to obtain)
- Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (Board Certified or Board Eligible)
- Proven experience in inpatient OB/GYN procedures, especially deliveries and C-sections
- Strong decision-making skills and ability to manage obstetric emergencies
- Ability to work independently in a hospital-based setting
Preferred: - Experience working with midwives and in Level II nursery environments
