Job Requirements
- MD or DO with active physician credentials
- Board certified in Gastroenterology or eligible based on facility requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in gastroenterology practice, GI consults, or procedural coverage
- Current certifications required: ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, and BLS
- Experience performing advanced GI procedures and inpatient consults
- Ability to independently manage a busy endoscopy schedule
- Willingness to complete credentialing within the outlined timeframe
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled colonoscopies in a Monday through Friday workflow
- Evaluate and manage inpatient gastroenterology consults from the prior night
- Provide GI lab coverage for follow-up services when indicated
- Perform upper and lower GI endoscopy procedures, including biopsy and polyp excision
- Support ERCP, EUS, PEG placement, liver biopsy, and other advanced GI procedures as needed
- Complete procedures such as esophageal dilation/manometry and sigmoidoscopy
- Assist with urgent GI needs and support continuity of care in a high-demand healthcare environment
