Surgery - Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner

Bon Secours St. Mary s Hospital of Richmond is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) specializing in Neurovascular Care to provide coverage during a maternity leave. This is a hospital-based role with full travel support provided.

• Location: Bon Secours St. Mary s Hospital of Richmond (Neurovascular Unit)

• Dates of Coverage: December 2025 March 2026

• Reason for Coverage: Maternity Leave

• Practice Setting: Hospital-based, adult & geriatric patients

• Neurosurgeons in Practice: 3

• EMR: Epic

• Autonomy: No supervising physician always available (in person or by phone)

• Credentialing Timeline: 120 days

• Diagnose and treat illnesses

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests

• Write prescriptions

• Coordinate care across specialties

• Serve as first responder to all code stroke alerts within the facility

• Competitive pay

• Certifications: AANP (required), ACLS (required), ENLS (required), DEA, CDS certification

• Licensure: Active Virginia NP license (required)

• Experience: Neurovascular experience strongly preferred (no new grads)
