On-site breast imaging position working 2-3 days per week, 2-4 weeks per monthFellowship trained radiologist required to provide coverage for screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, and breast MRIProficiency in image-guided procedures including biopsies, localizations, and aspirations requiredMust be highly knowledgeable in BI-RADS and MQSA requirements with strong attention to detail in reportingMust be comfortable managing same-day diagnostic workupsStrong patient-facing communication skills are essential as results and procedures are often discussed directly with patientsWork efficiently in a fast-paced, clinic-based environment while collaborating closely with technologists, nurses, surgeons, and oncology teamsHours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PMBreast radiology breakdown: Screening Mammography 45-55% (approximately 35-40 per shift), Diagnostics 25-35%, Procedures 15-25%Patient encounters per shift: 40-50Board certification requiredBLS certification requiredLocal candidates onlyFacility:
This facility is a Level 2 trauma center with a Level 1 pediatric designation, offering a comprehensive range of medical services to the community. The breast imaging department operates within a 99-bed unit and utilizes Cerner EMR, with a transition from Change Health PACS to Sectra PACS underway. The facility supports a collaborative, multidisciplinary care environment where radiologists work alongside technologists, nurses, surgeons, and oncology teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
