Job Requirements
- Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
- Active Arizona medical license or IMLC eligibility
- DEA required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of hospitalist or inpatient experience required
- Comfortable working in a hospital-based inpatient environment
- Experience with Cerner preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide night hospitalist coverage and cross-cover an average of 40-50 patients
- Respond to patient needs and support code response when appropriate for assigned patients
- Collaborate with ICU, subspecialty services, residents, and rapid response teams
- Deliver high-quality inpatient care with minimal procedural requirements
- Document accurately and maintain timely medical records in Cerner
- Participate in required Cerner training and orientation before start
- Work effectively within a team-focused, patient-centered hospital environment
