Position Responsibilities•Obtain comprehensive medical histories and perform physical examinations. •Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests. •Administer treatments and monitor patient progress. •Prescribe medications as appropriate. •Assist physicians with patient care and clinical procedures. •Counsel and educate patients regarding their conditions, treatment plans, and health management. •Provide quality care while maintaining patient safety and infection-control standards. •Participate in emergency situations and demonstrate effective leadership when needed. Requirements•3-5 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. •Current New York State certification/registration as an NP or PA. •Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. •Ability to remain calm, effective, and assume a leadership role during emergency situations. •Knowledge of current and emerging trends in technologies, techniques, issues, and approaches within the area of expertise. •Demonstrated ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection-control standards. •Knowledge of health promotion, health-risk identification, and patient education principles and techniques.
