Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician Utica, NY Position OverviewAn established healthcare organization in Utica, New York is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician to join its Women s Health team. This full-time opportunity is primarily focused on comprehensive gynecologic care , and obstetrical experience is not required.
The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care while collaborating with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. The position also offers opportunities for APP mentorship, clinical leadership, quality improvement, and professional development .
Key Responsibilities Clinical Care & Leadership• Provide comprehensive gynecologic care, including preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic services.
• Evaluate and manage routine and complex gynecologic conditions.
• Perform in-office and surgical procedures, including hysterectomies, laparoscopic procedures, and colposcopies.
• Develop and implement evidence-based clinical protocols and best practices.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, staff, and clinical colleagues.
APP Oversight & Team Collaboration• Provide clinical guidance, mentorship, and oversight to Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.
• Support APP education, training, and professional development.
• Promote teamwork and efficient coordination across the Women s Health team.
• Participate in APP orientation, training, and performance feedback.
• Foster a collaborative and supportive clinical environment.
Quality & Compliance• Monitor and promote high standards of patient safety and quality of care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, professional, and institutional standards.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record.
• Support initiatives focused on patient safety and continuous improvement.
Education & Professional Development• Participate in staff education and clinical teaching opportunities.

Qualifications• MD or DO degree.
• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology .
• Active, unrestricted medical license or eligibility for licensure in New York.
• 3 5+ years of gynecologic practice experience preferred.
• Obstetrical experience is not required.
• Experience mentoring or supervising APPs is strongly preferred.
• Strong clinical, leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Commitment to patient-centered care, medical ethics, and continuous quality improvement.
