Locums Emergency Medicine Avon, IN (IN License or IMLC) Why This Role

Assignment Details- Assignment Status: Ongoing; no specific end date
- Start Date: As soon as credentialed
- Primary Location: IU Health West Hospital in Avon, Indiana
- Secondary Privileges: IU Health North Hospital in Carmel
- Commitment: Approximately 6 Äì10 shifts per month
- Shift Length: Eight- and nine-hour shifts
- Scheduling: Day, overnight, and weekend coverage
- Setting: Emergency Department
- Department Size: 28 beds
- Volume: Approximately 15 Äì20 patients per shift
- Admissions: Required as clinically indicated
- EMR: Cerner
- Credentialing: Approximately 90 Äì120 days
- Temporary Privileges: Available
Requirements- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician
- Active Indiana license or IMLC eligibility
- Emergency Medicine residency training preferred
- ABEM certification strongly preferred
- Willingness to work overnight, weekend, and day shifts
- Availability for approximately 6 Äì10 shifts per month
- Ability to obtain privileges at both Avon and Carmel locations
- Cerner experience preferred
Clinical Details- Evaluate and treat unassigned Emergency Department patients
- Manage a broad range of acuity and emergency presentations
- Complete admissions when clinically necessary
- Collaborate with two to three RNs and one to two APPs
- Anesthesia, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Cardiology, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Radiology, and Vascular Surgery support available around the clock
- No APP supervision, resident supervision, or teaching responsibilities
