Assignment Details
• Coverage blocks:
- October 20 at 7am ÄìNovember 4, 2026 at 7am - November 18 at 7am ÄìDecember 2, 2026 at 7am
• This assignment is limited to the dates above; no ongoing coverage is listed
• Schedule: Continuous 24-hour beeper call
• Call response time: 20 minutes
• Setting: Inpatient
• Coverage includes assigned and unassigned patients
• Volume: Approximately 4 Äì5 patients per shift
• Facility: Eight-bed, Level IV hospital
• No admissions required
• EMR: Epic
• Credentialing: Approximately 60 days
• Temporary privileges: Available for clean files
• Housing: Hospital apartment located approximately two minutes from the facility
Requirements
• Board-certified General Surgeon
• Active Alaska medical license
• Active Alaska DEA before the assignment begins
• Current BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications
• Completely clean malpractice, NPDB, licensing, and professional history
• Providers with settlements, substance-related issues, restrictions, terminations, or medical-board actions are not eligible for temporary privileges

• Laparoscopic surgery
• Hernioplasty
• Emergency inpatient surgical consultations
• Obstetric and gynecologic surgical experience preferred
• Cesarean-section experience preferred
