Locums OB/GYN Mount Pleasant, MI (active MI license required) Why This Role

• Periodic 24-hour OB/GYN call coverage
• Approximately four deliveries per day
• Two NPs provide clinical support
• No routine outpatient clinic
• Local candidates preferred
Assignment Details
• Coverage period: September 2026 ÄìJanuary 2, 2027
• This is a limited-term assignment; exact coverage dates have not been released
• Schedule: 24/7 hospital call coverage
• Frequency: Approximately every fifth week
• Weekend coverage included
• Setting: Hospital-based
• Coverage includes Labor and Delivery, the Emergency Department, and urgent surgical needs
• Clinic consults are limited to emergencies requiring evaluation for possible admission
• EMR: Cerner
• Provider must use DocTime for electronic timekeeping
Requirements
• Board-certified OB/GYN
• Active Michigan medical license with no exceptions
• At least two years of OB/GYN experience
• Local or drive-in candidate preferred
• Self-query NPDB report dated within 30 days required at presentation
Clinical Details
• Low-risk pregnancy management
• Vaginal deliveries
• Cesarean sections
• VBAC management
• Repair of third- and fourth-degree lacerations
• OB ultrasound
• Amniocentesis
• Acute and urgent gynecologic surgical coverage
• Approximately four deliveries per day
• Supported by two Nurse Practitioners
