Locums Medical Oncology/Hematology Findlay, OH Why This RoleBlanchard Valley Hospital is seeking an oncologist following a full-time physician resignation. This community-based opportunity combines outpatient oncology and benign hematology care with inpatient rounding and call. Locum-to-permanent candidates are welcome. Assignment Details
- Preferred commitment: 2 Äì4 weeks onsite per month
- Outpatient clinic: 4 Äì5 days per week
- Call rotation: At least 1:4
- Call weeks run Friday at 8:00 AM through the following Friday at 8:00 AM
- Weekend call and onsite hospital rounding required

Requirements- Board-certified physician
- General community medical oncology experience
- Hematology experience
- Ability to provide outpatient care, inpatient rounding, and call coverage
- Attendance at tumor board during onsite working weeks
- Ohio medical license preferred; licensing candidates may be considered
- Professional references preferred
- Recent locum providers should supply a reference from their most recent assignment
- Continuous malpractice coverage meeting facility requirements
- Candidate authorization required before presentation
Clinical Details- Approximately 15 Äì20 patients per day
- Adult patients only
- New and follow-up oncology patients
- Benign hematology patients
- No procedures required
- Collaborative practice; this is not a sole-provider role
- Support includes:
- Full-time RN - Medical Assistant - Chemotherapy-certified infusion RNs- Travel and lodging reimbursement available within facility policy
