Phelps Health is launching a new ACGME-accredited Family Medicine/OB residency program, welcoming its first residents in Summer 2028. This is a rare opportunity for physicians who want more than a faculty title the chance to shape curriculum, culture, and training philosophy from the very beginning, backed by an institution with the independence and stability to support it long-term.
Leadership & Faculty Opportunities- Residency Program Director lead the program's development and long-term direction
- Associate Program Director partner in shaping curriculum and training structure
- Residency Faculty teach, mentor, and help define what rural FM/OB training should look like
Why This Program Is Different- We are our own sponsoring institution. Phelps Health isn't borrowing GME sponsorship from an outside academic center we control the pace, priorities, and direction of this program directly.

Compensation & Benefits- Guaranteed base salary each year of contract, benchmarked to MGMA data
