What You ll Do
- Provide compassionate, high-quality care to post-operative spinal, neurosurgical, orthopedic, and trauma patients
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to monitor patient progress and manage complex conditions
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Document patient care accurately in Epic EMR system
- Assist with patient assessments, care planning, and discharge procedures
- Float across post-surgical and med-surg inpatient floors as needed
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, including jewelry and adornment policies
What You Need
- Active Kansas or multistate RN license (no exceptions)
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Trauma experience
- Proficiency in Epic charting system (testing available)
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts with flexibility to float and rotate weekends and holidays
About the Assignment
This 27-bed unit specializes in managing patients post-spinal surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedic injuries, and trauma-related cases such as GSWs, MVCs, crush injuries, falls, and brain injuries. The unit maintains a staffing ratio of 1:6, with a focus on delivering safe, patient-centered care in a high-reliability environment.
