What You'll Do
- Provide expert clinical care in a high-acuity Level IIIB NICU with 60 beds and approximately 625 admissions annually
- Serve as Practice Medical Director, overseeing clinical operations, quality initiatives, and provider performance
- Lead and implement quality improvement and patient safety programs
- Drive clinical innovation, including advanced therapies such as high-frequency ventilation and nitric oxide
- Collaborate with hospital leadership and academic partners to expand neonatal services
- Participate in teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows
- Support scholarly activities, research, and academic development
- Work alongside multidisciplinary teams including maternal-fetal medicine and pediatric surgery
What You Need
Required: - Board Certification in Neonatology (MD/DO)
- Residency in Neonatology, with eligibility to practice in Virginia
- Experience in neonatal intensive care and leadership roles
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
Preferred: - Prior academic or quality improvement experience
- Experience with advanced neonatal therapies and multidisciplinary collaboration
