Job Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive inpatient management for cardiac surgery patients in the stepdown unit- Perform essential APP procedures, including removal of chest tubes and pacing wires- Collaborate with the cardiac surgical team and hospitalist team for patient care- Conduct daily assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and discharge planning
Qualifications- Must be a board-certified NP/PA with a minimum of 2 years' experience- Proficient in comprehensive management of cardiac surgery patients, including CABG, valve repair and replacement, and aortic surgery- Hold valid state licenses with BLS and ACLS certifications- Experience in Trauma Level I is required
Working Hours- Scheduled 12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM- No call requirements
Skills- High proficiency in cardiac patient management and typical APP procedures- Effective communication skills- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team- Experience with EPIC EMR and Sectra PAC systems
