Experienced CNC MachinistPay Rate: $25.00- $28.00 per hour
Location: 11122 W Little York Rd Houston
Schedule: Monday through Friday, shift starts at 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, some daily overtime and weekend work will be required
This position is responsible for setting up and operating all CNC lathes and CNC mills, to produce products to print specifications.
This position also designs fixtures or work holding jigs

Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures required including steeled toed shoes, safety glasses and other Personal Protective Equipment that is required in certain areas of the facility.
Maintain high ethical standards
Operate CNC controlled metal-cutting and related processing machines and equipment. Machines and equipment included, but not limited to, turning lathes, vertical and horizontal mills, and saws for a wide range of differing materials
Plan and performs setups, first article layouts, and execution of work according to product specifications, blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
Inspect all materials, components, etc. to assure they meet the accepted quality standards
Participate in Lean events with active involvement in Continuous Improvement initiatives
Responsible for the safe operation of tools and machinery while performing daily tasks.
Responsible for the reporting of unsafe acts or conditions to supervision immediately as noticed
Must immediately shut down production and report safety or quality concern(s) to a supervisor, engineer, manager, EHS or Quality representative
Ensure accurate movement of inventory through their assigned area transactions, production reporting, resolution of negatives, etc.
Complete required inspection documentation, marking of heat numbers and hold tags
Must employ Oracle to navigate and execute tasks to complete work orders, WIP transactions, material workbench, supply demand, material requirements
Perform daily maintenance check sheet
Operate forklift and pallet jack as required for tasks
Report unsafe acts or conditions to supervision immediately as noticed
Controlled metal-cutting and related processing
Qualified to train others
Can run standard work
Assists in orienting, training, assigning, and checking the work of less experienced machinist
Document training provided
Complete and report PR's and ECN reports
Perform first piece quality audits and roving audits as required
Comprehensive understanding of the manufacturing process as it pertains to your respective production cell(s)
Move material with motorized equipment
Candidate must reside in: Houston, TX or surrounding areas
Work week and shift: M-F 5AM-1:30 PM daily overtime is likely; weekend work may be required occasional
Compensation package offered: $25 - $28 per hour
Climate control warehouse, standing workstation, strenuous work often required
PPE requirements include uniforms, safety glasses and steal toes among others (Most PPE provided, accept initially in contingency the steel toed shoes)
High school diploma or GED
5 years of related CNC experience
2 years Manual machinist experience
Experience in ERP systems
