Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Medical nurse in a facility setting. This role involves providing advanced patient care in a high-acuity environment, managing patients with critical conditions such as respiratory failure, sepsis, cardiac arrest, and multi-organ dysfunction. The position requires a NY state license and experience with EPIC charting systems. The schedule includes night shifts, working 12-hour nights with a weekly minimum of 48 hours.
Job Details
- Schedule: 12-hour nights, working 4x12 shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid NY license in hand, 1 year of relevant ICU experience, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications, proficiency with EPIC charting system, and the ability to interpret dysrhythmias.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with complex ICU procedures such as CRRT, Impella, ECMO, IABP, and high-acuity patient management.
- Additional Information: Candidates will be required to float; charting experience with EPIC is a mandatory requirement. The role involves managing adult and geriatric patients with diverse critical diagnoses, including respiratory failure, sepsis, and post-cardiac arrest care. Orientation is 24 hours prior to start date. Return staff policy requires a six-month gap between assignments. Modules can be billed up to 5 hours of pre-start training, with total module time possibly reaching 10 hours.
