Key Responsibilities - Patient Care: - Conduct comprehensive assessments, including physical exams and patient histories. - Diagnose and treat a range of conditions, from minor injuries to critical emergencies. - Emergency Procedures: - Perform suturing, wound care, and minor surgical interventions. - Stabilize and manage patients with acute or life-threatening conditions, including cardiac and respiratory emergencies. - Collaborative Practice: - Consult with on-call physicians as needed and coordinate with EMS for patient transfers. - Provide detailed follow-up care instructions and ensure continuity of care. - Documentation: Maintain thorough and accurate medical records for all patients. Qualifications - Education: Masters degree from an accredited NP or PA program. - Licensure: Current state licensure as an NP or PA. - Experience: At least 1 year of emergency room experience is preferred. - Skills: Strong clinical decision-making, problem-solving, and the ability to work independently.
