Academic Surgical Pathologists
The Department of Pathology at Montefiore Medical Center is one of the largest and most comprehensive medical center laboratories on the East Coast. We are seeking applicants for two full-time Academic Surgical Pathologist positions at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor level to join a staff of 25 surgical pathologists. The candidates should have subspecialty fellowship training and/or experience (5+ years) in any of the following areas: Genitourinary, Head and Neck/Thoracic, Gastrointestinal/Liver and Breast. The Division of Surgical Pathology practices a hybrid model of subspecialty sign-out which allows for a combination of 2 or more subspecialties. The Department receives approximately 66,000 surgical pathology specimens/year.
Candidates should possess solid diagnostic skills, enthusiasm for teaching and strong communication abilities; responsibilities for both positions include clinical services in surgical pathology, interactions with clinicians and multidisciplinary patient care teams, involvement in the residency training program and medical student education and other activities. Collaborative and translational research opportunities are available and encouraged.

In addition to a competitive salary of $250,000-375,000 depending on years of experience, we offer productivity incentives. LTD, STD, paid malpractice, health, dental, vision and a 403(b) and much, much more are also offered.
