Job Summary:
The healthcare professional is a registered nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery (L & D) services, located in the women and infants unit. The role involves providing patient care within a float pool, working primarily night shifts, with a focus on high-risk obstetric cases and antepartum care. The position requires flexibility to float between units, supporting the organizations clinical operations during specified contract dates.
Job Details:
- Position: Registered Nurse (RN) in Labor and Delivery Department
- Schedule: Nights, 8-hour shifts, 32 hours per week, with every weekend required. The schedule follows a pattern of 36 hours in week 1 and 2, and 24 hours in week 3, then repeating.
- Start Date: 11/02/2026
- End Date: 01/02/2027
- Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), NRP, fetal monitoring certification (required for Labor & Delivery)
- Education & Experience: Active RN license (or compact license if applicable to Rhode Island), minimum 2 years recent Labor & Delivery, Antepartum, or High-Risk OB experience, and certification in BLS, NRP, fetal monitoring.
- Clinical Requirements: AED certification, active licensing.
- Additional Qualifications: Preference for those with float pool or multi-unit adaptability.
- Schedule Details: Night shifts, 8 hours per shift, totaling a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Submission Requirements: Certification in BLS and NRP, completion of skills checklist, professional profile, three professional references, and work attestation.
- Holidays: Attendance required with no exceptions.
- Other notes: The position requires candidates with no time off requests and active certification compliance throughout the duration of the contract.
