Job Summary:
Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor and Delivery (L&D) at a healthcare facility located in Springfield, MA. The RN will provide care to labor, delivery, and high-risk patients in a teaching hospital environment that includes residents and attending physicians. The shift options include days and nights, with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week. The role involves supporting approximately 4,300 deliveries annually, participating in on-call rotations, and working in a multidisciplinary team focused on maternal and neonatal health.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, with night shift hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, and day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Weekend shifts occur every other weekend, with the night shift spanning Friday and Saturday nights. An on-call shift is required every six weeks in addition to scheduled shifts.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, minimum of 3 years of labor and delivery experience, some high-risk obstetric experience preferred, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-risk obstetric cases and nursery care.
- Additional Information: The unit comprises Pod C (labor) with 16 beds, Pod B (high risk) with 11 beds, and Pod A (post-partum) with 11 beds. Experience with labor/delivery units and neonatology is highly valued. The position is for a scheduled period with start date on 10/12/2026 and end date on 01/10/2027.
