We are seeking an experienced Medical Director (MD or DO) for a full-time, on-site physician leadership opportunity in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
This position combines direct patient care with clinical leadership, providing oversight and support to Nurse Practitioners, nursing staff, and other members of the healthcare team. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who enjoys mentoring providers, influencing clinical quality, and caring for an underserved patient population.
Key Responsibilities
Provide on-site physician leadership and clinical oversight
Deliver direct patient care as needed
Supervise and mentor Nurse Practitioners and clinical staff
Provide guidance on complex patient cases
Collaborate with nursing and facility leadership
Support quality improvement and evidence-based care
Participate in an on-call rotation as assigned
Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and patient-centered care
Qualifications
MD or DO
Active, unrestricted Oklahoma physician license required
Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or a related specialty
3 5 years of clinical experience preferred
Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Experience working with NPs and PAs is a plus
Correctional healthcare experience is NOT required
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and leadership skills
