Overview:
Our private duty home care team in Clinton Township is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide one-on-one care for a patient with a spinal cord injury in their home. This part-time role offers predictable weekend hours and the opportunity to build a meaningful, ongoing patient relationship.
Position Offers:
- Schedule: Every weekend or every other weekend, Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
- Competitive pay: $40 45 per hour (DOE)

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, hands-on nursing care to a private duty patient with a spinal cord injury in their home
- Monitor vital signs, including hourly blood pressure checks, and report changes to the care team
- Administer medications and maintain accurate medication administration records
- Maintain ongoing suprapubic catheter care and other clinical tasks per the plan of care
- Document care, observations, and interventions in the EHR
- Educate the patient and family on care needs and treatment plans
- Assist with activities of daily living, meal preparation, laundry, and light housekeeping
- Provide transportation via the patient's handicap-accessible van to appointments and community activities
Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted RN license in Michigan
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Home health or private duty experience preferred
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Comfortable working in a home environment with household pets
