Overview:
Our nursing education program near Fort Walton Beach is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to provide strategic leadership for our ASN and BSN programs. This full-time role offers a consistent Monday Friday schedule and the opportunity to shape the future of nursing education.
Position Offers:
- Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (237 days per year)

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership for the nursing department, including the ASN and BSN programs, setting goals and priorities aligned with institutional objectives
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate 5 10 full-time RN instructors, plus adjunct faculty
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including staffing, scheduling, workload allocation, and resource management
- Ensure program compliance with the Florida State Board of Nursing, Florida Department of Education, and accreditation requirements
- Lead student admissions, recruiting, advising, and enrollment support for the ASN and BSN programs
- Collaborate with academic leadership and clinical partners to maintain curriculum standards and quality clinical placements
- Develop and monitor quality improvement initiatives, analyze performance metrics, and report data-driven recommendations to leadership
- Participate in strategic planning, budgeting, and policy development to support program growth
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing, Nursing Education, or a related field (Doctoral degree preferred)
- Current Florida RN or APRN license, or eligibility to obtain one
- Supervisory and college-level teaching experience in nursing education, ideally with health program accreditation experience
- Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with students, faculty, and healthcare partners
