The Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC) seeks an emergency medicine physician to join our team of twenty three physicians in Anchorage, Alaska. As a 182-bed Level II Trauma Center, ANMC serves as the tertiary referral center for Alaska Native and American Indian people across the state. With over 30 specialties, we provide a full complement of acute medical and primary care services. In this role you will evaluate and manage adult and pediatric emergency room patients in a 40 bed emergency department. Approximately 59,000 visits per year. While also leading a collegial team of ER Physicians and PA s.
Work Schedule: ER Physicians work 144 shifts per contract year, combination of approximately 75% daytime shifts () 25% nocturnal shifts ().
Qualifications: Completion of an ACGME/AOA approved residency in emergency medicine; Board certified in emergency medicine; collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.
