Job Summary:
Telemetry (TELE) registered nursing position in a short-term acute care facility located in a Level II trauma center. This role involves providing specialized care to patients requiring telemetry monitoring, with the flexibility to float between units. The position supports patients across adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups and emphasizes proficiency in electronic health record charting, specifically with Epic.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift with 12 hours per shift; minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license accepted), at least 1 year of RN experience, familiarity with Epic electronic charting system, and a minimum of 1 year of patient ratio experience. Certification in BLS and ACLS is required, along with NIHSS training.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and neuro-specific nursing experience.
- Float: Float rotation may be required based on unit needs.
- Additional Information: The daily census is approximately 48 patients. The unit is designated as a stroke unit with JCAHO and NAEC designations, requiring neuro-specific skills and experience. Special procedures include neurosurgery post-op care, neurological assessments, and the use of specialized equipment like spinal cord injury management tools. Candidates must demonstrate competence in neuro patient care and electronic documentation in Epic.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must include responses to whether they have worked at a similar facility and provide two references covering the last three years.
