Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the department director, a full-time physician, and a part-time neurologist.
- Engage in a combination of consultative and outpatient work.
- Conduct 1-2 half-day clinic sessions per week, with the remainder of time spent as a neurohospitalist on the med surg floor.
- Perform 5-7 consults per day when on service.
- Work a flexible Mon-Fri schedule with no evenings or weekends required.
- Participate in a rotating telephone call schedule, with minimal likelihood of being called.
- Collaborate with a neuroradiologist and other credentialed physicians for specific procedures.
- Contribute to a strong academic environment with medical students, externs, and internal medicine residents.
- Develop programs within movement disorders, epilepsy, and other neurologic subspecialties.
Requirements
- Active NY License.
- Residency Training in Neurology.
- Fellowship Training preferred, with willingness to perform generalist work.
- Board Eligibility or Board Certification Required.
- New residents graduating in the next 12 months are encouraged to apply.
