Harker Heights, Texas - Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Job Opportunity
Clinical Role:
- Seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Permanent job opening
- Outpatient behavioral health setting
- Treat patients ages 5-99
- Schedule:
- Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday: 8am-5pm
- Tuesday: 10am-7pm
- Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, ongoing treatment, and behavioral health care across the lifespan
- Must be passionate about working with underserved populations and improving access to quality mental healthcare
- Patient census: approximately 14-16 patients per day
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus, but not required
- Must have a current, valid license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Texas or be eligible to obtain one
- Must hold appropriate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Must possess strong computer/technology skills to efficiently document using the EMR system, conduct telemedicine visits when applicable, and communicate virtually with colleagues
