Job description

UHealth is seeking a motivated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our traveling post-acute care team, providing high-quality patient care across skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities throughout North Carolina. This role is ideal for an NP who enjoys variety, independence, and the opportunity to make an immediate impact wherever they go.

This is a permanent, full-time travel-based position, with assignments ranging from a few days to a few months. You ll rotate among facilities while returning home on weekends when possible allowing you to explore new communities in two of the country's most beautiful states.

What You ll Do

  • Deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care in post-acute settings
  • Manage and coordinate care plans for a diverse patient population
  • Collaborate closely with nursing staff and consulting physicians
  • Serve as a trusted clinical leader and advocate for patients
  • Complete timely, accurate documentation in the electronic medical record

What We re Looking For

  • Nurse Practitioner with experience in Geriatrics, Internal Medicine, Hospitalist Medicine, ICU, Emergency Medicine, or General Practice
  • Minimum of one year of clinical/NP experience required
  • Active North Carolina NP license with an unencumbered DEA license
  • Adaptable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently
  • Strong communicator with a patient-first mindset
