Location: Baltimore, MD
Position: Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Amber Health Care is a rapidly growing primary care practice dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered healthcare to our community. We are seeking a motivated and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
What You'll Do
- Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Administer injections, immunizations, and medications as ordered
- Perform phlebotomy and collect laboratory specimens
- Conduct point-of-care testing (strep, flu, COVID-19, urinalysis, glucose, pregnancy testing, etc.)
- Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures
- Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, and preventive care
- Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and follow-up appointments
- Maintain exam rooms and clinical supplies while following infection control standards
- Support quality improvement initiatives and provide outstanding customer service
Qualifications
- Current Maryland Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Minimum one year of outpatient or primary care experience preferred
- Experience with phlebotomy and injections preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work collaboratively in a team environment
- EMR experience preferred
