We are seeking an IV Certified LPN to join our team! You will be responsible for assessment and administration of infusion therapy treatments for our on-site patients. Part time available with potential for Full time employment.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and accurately prepare IV therapies per office documented protocols.
- Insert, monitor and remove IV catheter per established protocol
- Perform venipuncture, properly complete required paperwork, and prepare blood samples for laboratory pickup
- Access ports and PICC lines as needed per established protocol.
- Maintain a positive, engaging attitude with clients and staff
- Work in and maintain a clean environment
- Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
- Communicate with collaborating physicians, specialist and fellow staff regarding patient care
- Educate patients about health maintenance and disease prevention
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
- Maintain accurate patient medical records
- Ability to handle multiple clients at once and to work well under pressure
- Provide information and emotional support to patients and their family members
Travel to our Palm Harbor location for hands-on training will be required for the first 2-4 weeks of employment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields
- General familiarity with medical software and equipment
- Previous LPN IV experience
- Current IV certification
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- CPR Certification
