Compensation: $375,000 + $55,000 for medical director
MeadowWood Behavioral Health Hospital is the Premier Mental Health and Co-Occurring Addiction Treatment Center for Adolescents, Adults, and Seniors in New Castle & Wilmington, DE. This 130-bed acute care hospital offers a range of services, including Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), Detox and Substance Use Treatment, Inpatient Treatment, and specialized Adult and Geriatric Programs to address community needs.

About the role:
Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization and/or medication.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.
- Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
- Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
- Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
- Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
- Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.
- Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
- One or more years' post graduate degree practice preferred.
- Licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Board certification in psychiatry
- Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
