Assignment Overview - Start Date: May 10, 2026
- Setting: Inpatient Weekend Call Coverage
- Schedule:
- Friday 12:00 PM Monday 7:00 AM
- Coverage Needed: Approximately 3 weekends per month
- Assignment Type: Ongoing
Clinical Responsibilities - Provide cardiothoracic surgery call coverage
- Respond to consults and urgent surgical cases
- Provide backup support after initial consults
- Manage patients from cath lab requiring surgical intervention
Practice Details - APP support available
- Average callback (including rounding): 2 4 hours
- No TAVR procedures required
- Patients who are stable may be managed until weekday team resumes
- EMR: Epic
Requirements - Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiac Surgery
- Comfortable managing urgent cardiothoracic cases and call coverage
- Ability to work collaboratively with APP support
