REQUIRED PROCEDURES

JOB REQUIREMENTS • Active unrestricted Louisiana Medical License and Louisiana Controlled Substance Registration
• BC/BE in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine
• Active DEA with Louisiana address
• ACLS required; ATLS and PALS required if not EM trained
• Completion of approved EM, FM, or IM residency training
• Other Qualifications: Supervising Physician License with Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners
• 3rd-year residents accepted under approved moonlighting privileges
• Procedural Sedation Version 2 course required if not Board Certified in EM
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide emergency medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment
• Deliver coverage within a 24-hour physician staffing model
• Perform moderate and deep sedation procedures as required
• Document patient encounters in Epic EMR
• Collaborate with hospital staff and specialty services to coordinate patient care
